Flemish government acquires 5 hydrogen fuel cell buses
The Flemish government has approved the decision to buy 386 buses to replace the oldest and most polluting vehicles with more cost-effective and environmentally-friendly ones. Five hydrogen fuel cell buses will also be integrated into De Lijn’s fleet. The buses are part of the EU co-funded High V.LO-City project

High V.LO-City partners hold their consortium meeting
On 15 January 2013, partners of the EU co-funded High V.LO-City project gathered at the headquarters of the bus supplier and project Coordinator Van Hool. The project will be putting into service by the end of this year 10 hydrogen fuel cell buses (4 in Aberdeen and 5 in San Remo, Liguria), while the creation of hydrogen refueling stations is in progress to service the bus fleets. Another 5 hybrid fuel cell buses are to be integrated into the public fleet services of De Lijn in Flanders by the end of the year.

Van Hool bus attends Gothenburg’s Persontrafik trade show
On 27-29 November 2012, during Sweden’s major transport event Persontrafik, the EU co-funded High V.LO-City project was presented by Van Hool. During the three-day conference, the hydrogen bus was present at the stand of Autobus and informed hundreds of visitors of the innovative and reliable technology.
